Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I hired Glen McMurry at Taft in Dayton to handle a complex construction dispute for my small contracting firm. His 18 years of experience and recognition in construction litigation were evident; he clearly understood the technicalities of the case and provided sound legal strategy. We achieved a favorable settlement. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While Glen is undoubtedly sharp, there were times when communication lagged. Responses to emails could take several days, and updates on case progress felt sporadic, requiring me to follow up. For straightforward matters, his expertise is solid, but if you value frequent, proactive communication, you may need to set clear expectations from the start. He knows his stuff, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
