Competent on insurance claim, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Mr. Konkel to assist with a complex business interruption insurance claim following a significant property loss. His deep knowledge of insurance law, honed over nearly three decades, was evident. He understood the nuances of our policy and the carrier's likely defenses. The outcome was ultimately satisfactory. However, the experience was not seamless. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, leaving us uncertain about next steps. While his recognition in the field is well-deserved, the day-to-day management of client expectations could be improved. For straightforward legal analysis, he is very capable, but be prepared to follow up proactively if you need frequent updates. He is a solid attorney, but the service aspect felt merely adequate.
