Mr. Anderson's practice focuses primarily on real estate litigation, real estate transactions, and commercial litigation. Litigation matters include real estate title issues, title insurance matters, private condemnation, mined land reclamation issues, construction defect litigation, mechanics’ lien litigation, and enforcement of security interests. Mr. Anderson also represents buyers, sellers, and lenders in real estate transactions. A particular area of emphasis is road and access law. Mr. Anderson has litigated many of these cases in federal court in Denver as well as in state courts throughout Colorado, and lectures on road and easement law, quiet title, and other matters in continuing legal education courses. He also has extensive experience with arbitration and mediation as well as representing clients against a wide variety of governmental agencies, both in court and in administrative proceedings. Mr. Anderson is an AV® Preeminent (5.0 out of 5) rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Anderson served as the 2010 - 2011 Chair of the Real Estate Section Council of the Colorado Bar Association and is a member of the CBA's Title Standards Committee. He is the author of the book Colorado Quiet Title Actions (Third Edition published in 2016), and the author of the chapter on Easements in Colorado Real Estate Forms Desk Book, both published by CLE of Colorado Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice, and has handled trials and appeals, in the state courts in the State of Colorado, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his B.S. from Colorado State University, and his J.D. from the University of Denver School of Law(1985). He is a volunteer at public radio station KUVO, 89.3 FM where he is an announcer on a jazz shift from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and the All Blues show every other Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. and he occasionally contributes concert reviews to kuvo.org and allaboutjazz.com.
