I engaged Garin Scollan and Rivkin Radler LLP to assist with a complex insurance coverage dispute that had escalated into a potential bad faith claim. Garin’s background in insurance law and his recognition in that field were evident; his analysis of the policy language and the RICO implications was thorough and strategically sound. The legal work product itself was competent and he secured a reasonable settlement. However, the experience was somewhat mixed on the service side. Communication timelines were occasionally longer than expected, with responses sometimes taking several days during critical phases. While I never doubted his legal expertise or the firm's resources, managing client expectations regarding process and timing could be improved. For straightforward, high-stakes insurance litigation, Garin provides solid legal counsel, but be prepared to proactively follow up on administrative aspects.
