A capable and experienced defense attorney

I engaged Mr. Stakely and his firm to represent me in a complex medical malpractice defense case. There is no question about his deep expertise; his 38 years of experience and his recent Lawyer of the Year recognitions in Montgomery are clearly earned. His strategic understanding of the law and his familiarity with the local legal landscape were evident and ultimately contributed to a satisfactory resolution. However, my experience was mixed. While his legal acumen is formidable, communication was sometimes a challenge. Responses to emails or calls could take several days, and updates often felt like they were on his timeline, not mine. For a client navigating a stressful lawsuit, this created unnecessary anxiety. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney in medical malpractice and personal injury defense, but managing client expectations and maintaining consistent communication could be improved. You are getting a very competent lawyer, but you need to be prepared for a hands-off communication style.
