I engaged Frank Krasovec at Hahn Loeser & Parks to assist with updating my family's estate plan, including a complex trust structure. His background in tax law and his recognition in The Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates were significant factors in my choice. The legal work product itself was thorough and demonstrated his five years of focused experience in this area. He clearly understood the nuances of Ohio law and provided a solid framework. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the final documents were correct, there were periods of several days where I received no response to my emails, which created some anxiety during the process. Additionally, some of the explanations regarding the tax implications, while technically accurate, felt rushed and could have been more clearly broken down for a layperson. For straightforward estate planning, he is certainly capable, but if you require frequent updates or have a lower tolerance for wait times, you may need to set very clear expectations upfront. He is a knowledgeable attorney, but the client service aspect felt just adequate.
