Competent on immigration case, but communication was inconsistent

Francisco Lopez at Ogletree Deakins handled my employer-sponsored H-1B visa petition. His knowledge of immigration law was evident, and his decade of experience, including recognition by Best Lawyers, provided confidence. The legal strategy and paperwork were solid. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. There were periods where updates were sparse, requiring me to follow up, and response times to emails were slower than I expected. While the outcome for my visa was successful, the client experience felt more transactional than collaborative. He is clearly a capable attorney in the D.C. area, but managing client expectations and proactive communication could be improved.
