Competent in corporate litigation, but communication could improve

I engaged Felix-Antoine Morin of Norton Rose Fulbright for a dispute involving a breach of a vendor services agreement. My company, based in Nashville, needed counsel familiar with the nuances of commercial litigation, and Mr. Morin’s recognition in that field was a primary factor in our selection. He demonstrated a solid grasp of the contractual issues at hand and provided knowledgeable counsel on our strategic options. His background in representing clients in corporate matters was evident in his analysis. However, the experience was mixed. While the legal advice was fundamentally sound, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes stretching several business days, which added to our stress during time-sensitive negotiations. Furthermore, some explanations of procedural steps felt rushed, leaving our internal team to seek clarifications later. For a straightforward commercial dispute, his competence is adequate, and he successfully helped us reach a settlement. Yet, for the premium associated with a firm like Norton Rose Fulbright, I expected more proactive communication and clearer management of client expectations. He is a capable attorney, but the client service aspect fell short of being exceptional.
