I engaged Fabienne Limacher of Walder Wyss AG for guidance on a cross-border tax matter involving assets in both San Jose and Switzerland. Her recognition in Tax Law by Best Lawyers was a key factor in my choice, and her foundational knowledge in this complex area was evident. She provided a technically sound analysis of my obligations. However, for a client navigating this from the U.S., the process felt somewhat distant. Responses to emails often took several business days, and explanations, while accurate, sometimes assumed a level of familiarity with Swiss procedures that I didn't have. For straightforward, highly technical tax questions, her expertise is solid. My experience was adequate, but I had hoped for more proactive communication and clearer setting of expectations regarding timelines, especially given the international aspect of my case.
