Competent representation in a complex business dispute

I retained Evan Goldsmith at Cozen O'Connor for a commercial dispute involving a breach of contract with a former supplier. His background in commercial litigation was evident; he understood the nuances of the case quickly and his analysis was sharp. It's clear why he's recognized in that area. The outcome was ultimately favorable, which is the most important thing. However, the experience had some rough edges. Communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking several days during critical phases, which added to my stress. While his legal work was solid, I sometimes felt like just another file in a large firm system, lacking the proactive updates I expected. For straightforward matters where you need capable counsel, he will get the job done, but be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding client service and follow-up.
