Competent representation, but communication could be more consistent
I engaged Evan Krinick at Rivkin Radler for a complex insurance coverage dispute after a significant property damage claim was denied. His background in insurance law, underscored by his recent 'Lawyer of the Year' recognitions for 2024 and 2026, was a primary reason for my selection. Mr. Krinick demonstrated clear expertise in the nuances of policy language and litigation strategy. His analysis of the insurer's denial was thorough, and the legal arguments he prepared were solid, ultimately leading to a favorable settlement. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While his substantive work was competent, there were noticeable delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes stretching to several business days. Updates on case progress often felt reactive rather than proactive, requiring me to initiate contact. For a client navigating a stressful situation, this created unnecessary anxiety. His seven years of experience and Albany Law School foundation are evident in his legal work, which I found to be of good quality. Yet, the overall client service aspect—particularly in managing expectations and maintaining consistent communication—felt merely adequate. He is a capable attorney who achieved the desired legal outcome, but the process could be smoother.
