Competent but communication could be improved

I hired Ms. Centrone at Wenzel Fenton Cabassa to represent my small business in a wrongful termination lawsuit brought by a former employee. Given her recognition in Best Lawyers for Labor and Employment litigation, I had high expectations. Her legal knowledge was evident; she was thorough in dissecting the plaintiff's claims and her 13 years of experience, particularly on the defense side, showed in her strategic approach. We achieved a settlement that protected the company, which was the primary goal. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Response times to emails were often slower than I would have liked, sometimes taking several business days. While she explained legal concepts clearly in our meetings, there were periods during the litigation where I felt somewhat in the dark about procedural next steps unless I initiated contact. For straightforward legal matters where her recognized expertise in Tampa is the main requirement, she is certainly capable. Just be prepared to manage your expectations regarding the flow of information and to occasionally prompt for updates.
