I engaged Eric Nemeth at Varnum for a complex tax controversy audit with the IRS. His deep knowledge of tax law and litigation, backed by his 28 years of experience and recent Lawyer of the Year recognition, was evident in his strategic approach. He successfully navigated the civil proceedings, which was our primary goal. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. Communication was not as proactive as I would have liked; updates often required me to follow up, and response times were occasionally slower than expected. While he is clearly a skilled attorney who achieved the desired legal outcome, the client service aspect felt just adequate.
