A capable real estate attorney, but communication could improve

I engaged Eric Feuerstein of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher to assist with the acquisition of a mixed-use property in Brooklyn. His deep experience in New York real estate law, built over 16 years, was evident in his handling of the complex title review and zoning due diligence. His background from Yeshiva University and his firm's reputation certainly lend weight to his practice, and his recognition in the field is understandable. The legal work product itself was thorough and precise. However, my experience was mixed. While the final outcome was satisfactory, there were periods during the transaction where communication was slower than I would have preferred. Updates sometimes required follow-up on my part, and the responsiveness from his team felt variable. For a straightforward matter, his expertise is more than adequate, but for clients who prioritize constant, proactive communication, setting clear expectations upfront would be beneficial. He is a knowledgeable attorney who knows New York real estate inside and out, but the client service aspect didn't fully match the high caliber of the legal analysis.
