Competent in employment matters, but communication could improve

I hired Ms. Diaz to handle a complex non-compete agreement dispute for my former sales manager. Her background in labor and employment litigation from Jackson Lewis was evident; she clearly understood the nuances of Florida law and her decade of experience showed in her strategy. The recognition she's received since 2015 in this field is well-deserved regarding pure legal knowledge. However, the experience was a mixed bag. While the legal outcome was ultimately satisfactory, there were significant delays in receiving responses to emails, sometimes over a week. This made the already stressful process more difficult to manage. For straightforward legal analysis, she is capable, but if you require consistent client communication and proactive updates, you may need to set very clear expectations from the outset. She is a solid attorney, but the service aspect felt just adequate.
