Competent on employment issue, but communication could improve

I hired Emily Pidot at Paul Hastings for guidance on a non-compete agreement review. Her background in labor and employment litigation was evident, and she provided a thorough, technically sound analysis. The work product was solid, reflecting the recognition she's received in that field. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. There were a few instances where responses to my follow-up emails took longer than expected, and I sometimes had to clarify the practical business implications I was concerned about, beyond the strict legal interpretation. For straightforward matters, she is certainly capable, but managing client expectations on process could be enhanced.
