Competent and recognized, but communication could improve

I hired Eliz Espinoza at Taft in Denver to handle a modification of my parenting plan. As a recent graduate from the University of Denver, her knowledge of the statutes and procedures was evident, and she was clearly diligent in preparing my filings. Her recognition in family law by Best Lawyers was a factor in my choice, and her analysis of my case was sharp. However, the experience felt a bit uneven for a three-star rating. While the legal work was solid, there were sometimes significant delays in getting email responses or callbacks, which added to my stress during an already difficult time. My expectations for proactive updates weren't fully met. For straightforward family law matters, she is certainly capable and brings a focused energy to her work. I believe she is building a strong foundation for her practice, but the client service aspect needs to catch up to her legal acumen to provide a fully seamless experience.
