A formidable advocate for complex intellectual property disputes

Our company engaged Edward Mas to handle a high-stakes patent infringement case involving complex medical device technology. From the outset, his unique background was invaluable; his mechanical engineering degree from Northwestern allowed him to grasp the intricate technical details of our invention far more quickly than any other attorney we interviewed. His 33 years of experience, particularly in patent litigation, were evident in his strategic approach. He meticulously deconstructed the opposing side's arguments and secured a highly favorable settlement that protected our core IP. The recognition he has received in Litigation - Patent and Patent Law is well-deserved, as he is a terrifically savvy litigator who truly fights for the best outcome. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is that, during particularly intense phases of the case, communication from his team could occasionally lag by a day or two, though Ed himself was always thoroughly prepared and insightful in our direct meetings. We would confidently recommend him to any business facing serious intellectual property challenges in Chicago.
