Mr. Steer assisted my family with updating our wills and establishing a charitable remainder trust, a process that clearly drew on his decades of experience in trusts and estates. His knowledge of charitable gift planning, as noted in his professional recognitions, was evident and valuable for our specific goals. The documents he prepared were thorough and precise. However, the experience was somewhat less personal than I had hoped. Response times to emails were occasionally slow, and some legal concepts were explained in a way that assumed a fair amount of prior knowledge. For straightforward estate planning needs, his expertise from Kelly Hart & Hallman is solid, but be prepared to follow up proactively if you need more frequent communication or simpler explanations along the way.
