Competent representation but communication could improve

I retained Drew Sealey at Simmons Hanly Conroy after being injured by a defective medical device. He clearly understood the complex legal landscape and his four years of focused experience showed in his strategic approach. The firm's resources in Chicago were a definite asset. However, my experience was mixed. While the legal work was solid, there were often significant delays in getting responses to my emails or calls, sometimes stretching over a week. Updates felt sporadic unless something major happened. My expectations for the case's timeline also seemed misaligned with reality, which caused some frustration. Drew is a capable attorney who knows this area of law, but the client communication and management aspects of the service felt just adequate.
