Experienced and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I engaged Mr. Gosden at Holland & Knight for guidance on a complex commercial loan restructuring for my business. His deep experience in banking and commercial finance law, backed by nearly four decades of practice, was immediately evident. He is clearly a recognized expert in his field, and his analysis of the lender's terms was sharp and thorough. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the legal work was competent, there were notable delays in receiving responses to emails, and at times, explanations felt rushed, assuming a level of financial acumen I didn't possess. For straightforward corporate or finance matters, his expertise from The University of Memphis is solid, but managing client expectations and communication cadence could be more consistent. You get a capable attorney, but you may need to be proactive in following up.
