Experienced and capable, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Mr. Vadnais from Modrall Sperling to handle a complex commercial dispute involving creditor rights and real estate, areas where his decades of experience and Lawyer of the Year recognitions in bankruptcy litigation are clearly evident. His strategic understanding of the legal landscape in Albuquerque was solid, and he navigated the procedural aspects with the competence you'd expect from someone with his 45-year background. Ultimately, the outcome was acceptable. However, the process felt somewhat detached. While his expertise was never in doubt, there were periods where communication was sparse, and responses to emails could take several days, which added to our stress during a critical phase. For straightforward matters requiring deep institutional knowledge, he is a formidable resource. For clients who prioritize frequent updates and a more hands-on communicative style, expectations may need to be managed. His legal acumen is substantial, but the client service experience was merely adequate.
