Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

We engaged Douglas Waddoups at Parr Brown for a complex business restructuring involving both corporate governance and intellectual property considerations. His credentials are impressive, and his deep experience, particularly his recognition in Corporate Law by Best Lawyers, was evident in the strategic advice he provided. The legal work product itself was solid and thorough. However, the experience was somewhat mixed on the service side. There were periods where communication lagged, with responses taking several days during critical phases, which added to our stress. While we never doubted his expertise in commercial litigation and corporate matters, managing client expectations around timelines and availability seemed to be an area for improvement. For straightforward, high-stakes legal analysis, he is certainly capable, but you may need to be proactive in following up.
