Competent and knowledgeable, but communication could improve

I hired Mr. Pocock from Baker Donelson in Winston-Salem to handle a complex payment dispute with a commercial contractor. With his 25 years of experience and recognition in construction law, I was confident in his technical expertise, which was evident. He understood the nuances of the case and his background in business litigation was solid. However, the experience was a mixed bag. While the legal strategy was sound, there were often significant delays in receiving updates or returned calls. For a firm of this caliber, I expected more proactive communication. The matter was resolved adequately, but the process felt more reactive than collaborative. He is clearly a capable attorney, especially in creditor's rights and insolvency matters, but managing client expectations is an area for improvement.
