I engaged Dmitry Kagan at Perkins Coie to assist with a patent infringement matter for a software component my company developed. He was able to competently analyze the prior art and draft a solid initial response. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the legal work was sound, there were periods where communication lagged, making it difficult to get timely updates on case strategy without multiple follow-ups. For straightforward patent analysis, Dmitry is certainly knowledgeable, but managing client expectations and responsiveness felt just adequate.
