A competent attorney with strong litigation expertise

I engaged Deborah Thompson at Nelson Mullins for a complex commercial dispute involving a former business partner. Her deep experience in commercial litigation, backed by her 28-year career and recognition from Best Lawyers, was evident in her strategic approach and command of the courtroom. She is clearly a knowledgeable and formidable attorney. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Communication was sometimes delayed, with responses taking several days, which added to my stress during critical phases. While the legal outcome was ultimately satisfactory, the process felt somewhat impersonal and the billing structure was not as transparent as I would have liked. For straightforward, high-stakes litigation, her expertise is solid, but client management could be more attentive.
