Competent on corporate contract dispute, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Dean Dalke to handle a breach of contract issue with a former business partner. His background in Corporate and Commercial Litigation was evident; he understood the nuances of our case quickly. I appreciated his strategic approach, which seemed informed by his international education and the recognition he's received as a Rising Star. The outcome for my case was ultimately satisfactory. However, my experience was mixed. While Dean was clearly knowledgeable, there were periods where communication lagged. Responses to emails sometimes took several days, and I didn't always feel proactively updated on minor developments. For a straightforward corporate matter, his three years of experience were sufficient, but the client service aspect felt just adequate. He is a capable attorney who knows the law, but managing client expectations and maintaining consistent dialogue could be improved. I would cautiously recommend him for uncomplicated commercial litigation in Las Vegas, with the advice to set very clear communication protocols from the start.
