Knowledgeable but communication could be more consistent

I retained David Rapoport and his firm for a complex personal injury matter stemming from a multi-vehicle accident. His deep experience in plaintiff-side litigation, particularly in mass torts, was evident from the start. He clearly understood the nuances of building a strong case, and his background in finance from Northern Illinois University proved valuable in analyzing the long-term financial impacts of my injuries. The firm's recognition in personal injury and aviation law gave me confidence in their technical capabilities. However, the experience was mixed. While David was thorough in strategy sessions, there were often significant delays in receiving updates or returned calls, which added to my stress. The legal work itself was competent and we reached a settlement, but the process felt less client-focused than I had hoped. For someone who needs a solid, experienced attorney and can manage some communication gaps, he is a viable option, but set clear expectations for responsiveness from the outset.
