Competent but communication could be more consistent

David Powell handled my company's wrongful termination defense. His deep knowledge of employment law was evident, and his recognition as Lawyer of the Year in this field is well-deserved. He secured a favorable settlement. However, the experience was mixed. While his legal strategy was sound, there were periods where communication lagged, making it difficult to get timely updates. Responses to emails sometimes took several days. For straightforward legal matters, his nearly two decades of experience provide solid footing, but managing client expectations around availability could be improved. He is a capable attorney, but the service aspect felt just adequate.
