Competent in health care defense, but communication was inconsistent

David Corey at Helsell Fetterman represented our medical practice in a recent malpractice claim. His background in health care law and the recognition he's received in that field were evident; he clearly understood the nuances of the defense side. He was professional and the outcome was satisfactory. However, the experience was mixed. There were periods where we waited several days for responses to emails, which added to our stress during the litigation. While his legal analysis was sound, we sometimes felt we had to prompt for updates on case strategy. For straightforward health care defense matters, he is capable, but managing client expectations could be improved.
