Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

David Prather handled my medical malpractice case after a surgical error. His 19 years of experience and recognition, like the Lawyer of the Year awards, were evident in his strategic approach. He clearly knows this area of law inside and out. The case was resolved with a fair settlement. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. While his team at Smith, Ball, Báez & Prather was professional, there were periods where updates were infrequent, and responses to my emails sometimes took longer than expected. You are getting a skilled attorney, but you need to be proactive in managing your own expectations for communication throughout what can be a lengthy process.
