Competent on corporate matters, but communication could improve

I engaged Daniel Nájera de los Santos to assist with the compliance framework for a small business acquisition. His knowledge in Corporate Governance and Mergers & Acquisitions was evident; he efficiently navigated the due diligence and identified several key regulatory points we had overlooked. The recognition from Best Lawyers in these fields is well-founded regarding his technical skill. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed by several business days, which created anxiety during time-sensitive negotiations. While the final work product was solid, the process felt less collaborative than I had hoped, with expectations around timelines and updates needing clearer management from the outset. For straightforward corporate compliance work, he is capable, but you may need to be proactive in follow-ups.
