Competent defense work, but communication could improve

I hired Daniel Erwin after a significant auto accident claim was filed against my small business. His 18 years of experience in Houston and his recognition in Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants were clear assets. He was knowledgeable about Texas law and his strategy during the discovery phase was solid, ultimately helping us reach a reasonable settlement. However, the experience was not seamless. There were periods where responses to emails took several days, and some of the procedural explanations felt rushed. While I never doubted his legal capability or the outcome, the client service aspect felt just adequate. For straightforward defense matters, he is certainly competent, but you may need to manage your expectations regarding accessibility.
