Mr. Hayes handled my complex divorce, and his 46 years of experience in Fort Wayne family law were evident. His recognition as Lawyer of the Year in 2021 wasn't surprising given his strategic knowledge. However, for a firm with a century-long legacy like Hayes & Hayes, I expected more consistent communication. Responses to emails were sometimes delayed, and I occasionally felt out of the loop on minor procedural updates. While the legal outcome was solid, the process felt more transactional than I'd hoped. He is undoubtedly a skilled attorney, but managing client expectations could be improved.
