Competent on administrative matters, but communication was a challenge

I engaged Claudio Chaves to assist with a complex municipal licensing issue for my small business in Detroit. He provided a solid, technically correct strategy for navigating the city's bureaucracy. However, the practical experience of working with him was mixed. While his legal analysis was sound, the logistical aspects were frustrating. As he is based in Brasília, coordinating across time zones led to significant delays in receiving responses, sometimes stretching to several days. Setting up calls was cumbersome, and I often felt I had to manage the communication flow myself. For straightforward administrative filings, his expertise is valuable, but for matters requiring frequent, timely updates, the arrangement proved less than ideal. He successfully resolved the core licensing problem, which I appreciate, but the process required more patience and proactive follow-up on my part than I had anticipated.
