A competent attorney, but communication could be improved

I hired Christopher Regan to handle a complex medical malpractice case involving a significant surgical error. His credentials from Vanderbilt and his firm's strong reputation in plaintiff-side litigation were major factors in my decision. As expected, his legal expertise was solid. He demonstrated a clear understanding of the medical nuances and his recognition in Medical Malpractice Law was evident in his strategic approach. The case ultimately settled for a fair amount, which I attribute to his diligent work. However, my experience was marked by inconsistent communication. There were often lengthy wait times for email replies, and updates felt reactive rather than proactive. While I never doubted his dedication or legal acumen, managing expectations around timelines and client contact seemed to be an area for improvement. For someone seeking a highly skilled attorney who will secure a result, Mr. Regan is capable. Just be prepared to occasionally follow up more than you might expect to stay fully in the loop throughout the process.
