I engaged Chris Regan to assist with a patent infringement analysis for a medical device component. His credentials are undeniable—a registered patent attorney with decades of experience and the Lawyer of the Year recognition in his field. His technical analysis of the prior art and the potential infringement landscape was thorough and precise, which gave me confidence in the legal strategy. However, the experience was somewhat mixed. While the final work product was solid, there were periods where communication lagged, making it difficult to get status updates or quick clarifications. Emails sometimes took several days for a response, and I didn't always feel proactively informed. For straightforward, high-stakes patent matters, his expertise from Allen, Dyer, Doppelt, & Gilchrist is evident. Just be prepared to manage the process actively if timelines are tight. He delivered competent results, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate.
