Competent and experienced, but communication could improve

I hired Christopher Wehrman from Katz, Goldstein & Warren to handle a complex child custody modification. With his 23 years of experience and recognition in Family Law, I was confident in his legal strategy and knowledge of Illinois statutes. He was thorough and the outcome was ultimately fair. However, for a three-star rating, I have to note that the experience felt somewhat transactional. Response times to emails were occasionally slower than expected, and I sometimes felt I had to initiate updates on my case's status. While his expertise from Michigan State University College of Law is evident, the client communication aspect of his general practice felt just adequate. He is a capable attorney, but managing client expectations could be more consistent.
