Christen Triche is an attorney in Fishman Haygood’s Business Section. Her practice primarily focuses on business banking and finance, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions.Christen regularly represents Provident Resources Group (Provident), a national nonprofit organization that undertakes projects and partnerships designed to promote education, health, and other charitable purposes. Most recently, she represented Provident’s subsidiaries in closing on a series of financings to expand and improve on-campus student housing at the University of Washington, Tufts University, and Palm Beach Atlantic University. In these types of transactions, the subsidiaries serve as nonprofit borrower to finance the development and/or acquisition and construction of the properties.Christen was also part of the Fishman Haygood team representing Lafayette, La.-based Stately Doors & Windows in its acquisition of New York-based Reilly Architectural, part of Pella Corp.’s luxury division.Adding to her depth of experience, Christen worked as a litigation associate at a Baton Rouge law firm prior to joining Fishman Haygood. Her practice involved professional liability, defective design and construction, and corporate litigation. She also advised clients on estate planning and succession matters. She is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, as well as to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.Christen received her law degree, cum laude, from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University (LSU) where she was a recipient of the Paul M. Hebert Scholar Award and the Dean’s Scholar Award.
