Competent on employment contract review, but communication was inconsistent

I engaged Charlotte Michaud at Flichy Grangé Avocats to review a complex non-compete agreement presented by my new employer in Fort Worth. As someone recognized in Labor and Employment Law, her analysis of the restrictive covenants was thorough and she identified several clauses that were overly broad, which was exactly the expertise I needed. She applied her knowledge effectively to my situation. However, my experience was mixed. While the final work product was solid, there were noticeable delays in email responses, sometimes taking three to four business days for a reply on follow-up questions. This created some anxiety during the negotiation timeline. Furthermore, the process felt somewhat transactional; I had expected a bit more proactive guidance on negotiation strategy, rather than just the legal redlining. For straightforward employment law matters, her one year of focused practice in this area is evident and she is clearly competent. Yet, for clients who prioritize consistent communication and a more collaborative partner, there is room for improvement. She handled the legal specifics well, but the overall client service experience was just adequate.
