One of the firm’s founders, Charles Carr has more than 35 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts in Alabama. Charles has litigated in many other states throughout the United States. He has served as national coordinating counsel on complex and catastrophic personal injury cases in 25 states within the United States for a major national insurance carrier. Currently, Charles serves as national trial counsel for Swift Transportation, one of the largest motor carriers in the United States.An AV-rated attorney through Martindale-Hubbell, Charles has tried more than 250 matters in 50 of the 67 counties in Alabama. These have included products liability claims, all manner of personal injury claims and commercial dispute and fraud claims.Charles is a member and previous chairman of the American College of Transportation Attorneys, an organization limited to 25 transportation defense attorneys who have defended the transportation industry for more than 20 years. He has served as first chair of the American Law Firm Association Transportation Practice Group, chairman and vice chairman of USLAW Network. In 1996, Charles was honored with the Alabama State Bar Award of Merit. In addition, he has been selected for publication in The Best Lawyers in America© and included in the Mid-South Super Lawyers® list for many years.Charles is an avid golfer.
