A competent and recognized attorney, but communication could improve

I engaged Chalyse Robinson at Wilmer Hale in Denver to assist with the corporate governance and regulatory aspects of a mid-sized merger for our family-owned business. With her 22 years of experience and recognition in M&A and Corporate Law by Best Lawyers, I had high confidence in her technical expertise, which was generally justified. Her analysis of the deal structure and the resulting governance framework was thorough and precise, clearly drawing from her deep background. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. While the final work product was solid, there were periods where communication lagged, with responses to emails sometimes taking several days during critical junctures. This created some unnecessary anxiety for our internal team. Furthermore, the billing structure felt somewhat opaque for a firm of this caliber. In summary, Ms. Robinson is undoubtedly a skilled attorney who delivered on the core legal requirements, but the client service experience and management of expectations fell short of the premium level one might anticipate.
