Competent and recognized, but communication could improve

I hired Cesar Tavares to handle a personal injury case after a significant car accident in San Antonio. His credentials are impressive, and his recognition in Personal Injury Litigation by Best Lawyers was a key factor in my decision. He clearly knows the law, and his Harvard education and experience with Williams Hart & Boundas LLP showed in his strategic approach to my claim. The outcome was ultimately fair. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. While I never doubted his legal expertise, there were periods of several days where I received no updates on my case status, and responses to my emails were sometimes slower than I would have liked. My expectations for client communication, based on his professional stature, were a bit higher. He is a capable attorney who secured a settlement, but the client experience felt more transactional than collaborative.
