Competent in litigation, but communication could improve

I engaged Cassandra Vogel of Yankwitt LLP for a commercial dispute involving a breach of contract with a former business partner. Her background in Commercial Litigation was evident; she understood the nuances of the case quickly and her analysis of our position was sharp. It's clear why she's recognized in that field. The initial strategy she laid out was sound. However, the experience felt somewhat transactional. There were periods where responses to emails took longer than expected, leaving me to follow up. While she capably handled the negotiations that led to a settlement, I sometimes felt like just another case file rather than a client. For straightforward legal matters where deep expertise is needed, she is certainly capable. Just be prepared to manage your own expectations regarding client communication and the personal touch.
