Competent in mediation, but communication could improve

Carolyn Grimes handled my post-divorce custody modification. Her background in family law mediation from George Mason was evident, and she was recognized for that skill. She provided knowledgeable counsel on Virginia's collaborative law process, which was helpful. However, responses to emails were sometimes delayed, and I occasionally felt I had to follow up for updates. For straightforward mediation, her decade of experience is solid, but set clear expectations on communication timelines from the start. She got the job done adequately, though the process felt less guided than I anticipated.
