Competent but communication could be more consistent

I hired Caio Julius Bolina to handle a complex contractual dispute with a former business partner. His recognition in Litigation by Best Lawyers was a key factor in my decision, and his expertise in Brazilian law, given his São Paulo practice, was relevant to our international dealings. He was undoubtedly knowledgeable and provided a solid legal strategy. However, the experience was mixed. While the outcome was acceptable, communication was sometimes delayed, and responses to emails could take several days. There were also occasional waits for scheduled calls. For straightforward legal matters, his competence is clear, but if you require frequent updates and proactive communication, you may need to set very clear expectations from the start. He is a capable attorney, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate.
