Adequate representation in a complex business dispute

I engaged C. Bailey King and the team at Bradley Arant to handle a sensitive trade secret misappropriation matter for my Charlotte-based technology firm. Mr. King's deep experience in intellectual property litigation was evident from the start; his analysis of our case was sharp and his knowledge of North Carolina law was comprehensive. His background in handling complex business disputes, as reflected in his professional recognitions, provided a solid foundation. The legal strategy he devised was sound, and we achieved a settlement that protected our core interests. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. Communication was sometimes slower than I would have liked, with responses to non-urgent emails taking several days. At times, I felt like a smaller client within a large firm structure, and some of the procedural explanations felt rushed. For straightforward legal matters, his competence is undeniable, but the client service aspect felt merely adequate. He is a capable and recognized litigator, but managing expectations around accessibility would have improved the experience significantly.
