Competent on the transaction, but communication was inconsistent

I hired Bryan Biesterfeld to assist with the sale of my small manufacturing business in Denver. His background in business finance from the University of Denver and his recognition in M&A law were evident in the solid contract he drafted and his handling of the due diligence process. He clearly knows the technical aspects of these deals. However, the experience was mixed. While the final outcome was satisfactory, there were periods of several days where I received no updates, despite reaching out. This created some unnecessary anxiety during a stressful process. His advice was always sound when I could get ahold of him, but the responsiveness didn't always match the urgency I felt. For a straightforward transaction where you don't mind some lag, he gets the job done competently. I just expected more proactive communication from an attorney with his level of recognized expertise.
