I engaged Brittany Ogden's firm for a complex commercial dispute involving a supplier contract that had gone sideways, leading to significant receivables issues. Her background in business litigation and her role chairing the Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights group were precisely why we selected her. In the courtroom and in drafting motions, her competence was evident. She has a firm grasp of the procedural intricacies and her strategic advice during settlement negotiations was sound, ultimately helping us reach an acceptable resolution without a full trial. However, the experience was not without its frustrations. There were periods where communication lagged, with responses to emails sometimes taking several days, which added to our stress during critical phases. While her legal work was thorough, managing client expectations around timelines and updates felt like an area that could be improved. For straightforward legal matters requiring her specific expertise in commercial litigation or creditor rights, she is certainly capable. Just be prepared to occasionally follow up to stay in the loop. The outcome was satisfactory, but the process felt more reactive than proactively managed at times.
