Competent corporate counsel, but communication could improve

Brittany Raway at Alston & Bird provided solid legal guidance during our company's recent acquisition of a smaller competitor. Her background in M&A and corporate governance was evident, and the final deal structure was sound. However, the process felt somewhat impersonal. There were several instances where we had to follow up for updates, and response times to emails were slower than expected, which added to our stress during critical negotiation phases. While her recognized expertise in corporate law is not in question, and her mediation certification is a clear asset, the client service experience felt transactional. For straightforward corporate matters, she is certainly capable, but the partnership aspect I hoped for was lacking.
